The aim of the Green Microfinance - Energy and WASH Loans Database is to provide an
overview of the offerings of financial products focused on enabling access to clean energy,
energy-efficient technologies, and water, sanitation and hygiene services, from a climate change adaptation and
mitigation perspective, detailing the stages of risk management supported.
In the framework of a collaboration with CGAP,
the structure of the database has been adapted to align with the current research conducted on financial
products and services for enhancing climate resilience. The structure of the database has been developed by
Jonathan Davidson, Dalberg Advisor based in Kenya, who is coordinating an advisory service study for CGAP on the
supply of inclusive finance services for enhancing climate resilience.
The data has been collected by HEDERA for IMPACT-R; it comes from public sources and is publicly available.
